Winner of the 2023 Detroit Jazz Festival Poster Contest

EyeNEye Graphic Designer “Brittini Ward” submitted her design to the 2023 Detroit Jazz Festival Poster Contest and won.

Her design features jazz legends such as: Miles Davis and Alice Coltrane.

It also features two figures that sit in-between dimensions. The female figure represents herself (physical) and the male figure represents her transitioned father and grandfather (spiritual) that cultivated her love for jazz.

This artpiece explores the interdimensionality of music and how these frequencies grant us travel through time and space.

  • Brittini's paintings meet at the intersection of the seen and the unseen. Over the years, Brittini has used combinations of acrylic paint, clay, shells, hair, copper, silver, crystals, stones, fabric and various hand-made textures to manifest the spiritual world into the physical. In addition, Brittini was the 2023 Detroit Jazz Festival contest winner. Within the last 2 years, her work has been featured at "Plowshares into Swords Art Gallery" and the "Irwin House Art Gallery" in Detroit, MI. There is no limit to how Brittini expresses herself, because the source from which she pulls from is limitless.
